Kristen's New Interview for 'On the Road' in OK Magazine (Australia - September 2012)

Scans (Thanks to @Mel452)

Transcript (Transcript done by us. If you use, please credit)

Life has changed dramatically for actress Kristen Stewart since filming wrapped on her latest on-screen offering, On the Road. As the film went to edit, the megabucks and dream roles were rolling in for the 22-year-old (she was recently declared Hollywood's highest-paid actress) and she appeared blissfully happy in her three-year relationship will one of the most desired men on the planet Robert Pattinson.

Even Kristen admitted that life was good. 'Why is everything so easy for me?' she said in June. 'I can't wait for something crazy to f--- me over!'

Just one month later, Kristen's perfect world crumbled around her after she was caught locked in a steamy embrace with her marries Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, 41.

As the details of Kristen's affair surfaced, rumors spread that she's been axed from the Snow White sequel - and the fallout has left the starlet terrified that her career is in jeopardy.

Despite Rob keeping up with his promotional duties for his latest film, Cosmopolis, Kristen wasn't in attendance of the UK premiere of On the Road month, leaving it to her co-stars. "She would've loved to be here because I know she's so proud of this film,' co-star Danny Morgan said at the premiere. 'People will be blown away she's amazing in it.'

All eyes will be on the Toronto Film Festival in September, though, where Kristen will walk the red carpet for the new film with friend and co-star Kristen Dunst.

Patrick Brennan Mentions Rob and Kristen in his New Face Friday Interview

When you found out you were going to work on this movie, who were you most excited to work with?
You know I have a scene with all the guys- Robert Pattinson – the 3 of those guys- and Kristen- I found them to be so… I was looking forward to meeting those three – I found them to be so welcoming and down to earth and normal. I don’t know what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting that. I found them all to be really really great people. And funny and weird and cool. And when I did my scene with Jacob I was stumbling over lines and thought “wow—it’s too odd. I’m sitting across from these Twilight stars.” It took me awhile to get in my body and get in the scenes. I was nervous. And Michael Sheen- I’ve always admired him as an actor. And I didn’t get to do much with him, but I got to know him a little bit on set. I’ve always admired his work as an actor.

What was it like coming into such an established franchise. Did you feel like the new kid? What were your feelings joining everyone?
Well i was nervous- extremely nervous. Like I said Bill Condon and all those people and the guys that have been there through the whole thing- Robert and all those guys- they did have a way of putting you at ease. And I found them to be so normal. Maybe I was expecting them to be movie stars who were stand-offish, but they weren’t like that. I knew it was a big deal, but once you go to the conventions and see how big it is, it is pretty awesome.

I was just nervous. I did my scene the 2nd night there. And Bill [Condon] had to just calm me down. It was the biggest thing I’ve never been involved in- my big break, so I was extremely nervous. The people were so great from top to bottom- Bill Condon- I can’t say enough about him! What a decent, kind, artistic, gentle cool dude. He has a way of making you feel real involved- makes you feel like you mattered. He helped me with my nerves.

Jackson Credits Pickwicks, Midland With Good Foundation

Former Midlander Monroe Jackson Rathbone V is in a soon-to-be-released family film, "Cowgirls N Angels," which the Trinity School Senior Girls Club hopes to bring to Midland's Hollywood Tall City 14 Sept. 13. To do so, 100 tickets must be pre-sold by Thursday.

Rathbone, who played Jasper Cullen in the "Twilight" films, was first seen by an audience on the Midland Community Theatre stage.

"The first role was in 'Christmas Carol,' two years," Rathbone said in a telephone interview from his home in California.

"Then I did 'Grease, the Musical.' I had to learn how to sing and play guitar and act and dance all for the same production."

He knew as a teenager he wanted to be a professional actor.

"I knew I wanted to be an actor when I was about 13, 14 years old, and I did my audition for the Pickwick Players," said Rathbone, who is the son of Midlanders Randee and Monroe Jackson "Jack" Rathbone IV and the brother of Brittney Rathbone. "And I got in doing a little monologue from Saturday Night Live.

"I just loved the feeling of being up on-stage and being able to capture the imagination of an audience, to be able to bring people joy and laughter, to be able to tell people a story, that's always what's motivated me."

He has a favorite role that he played while in Midland.

"My favorite role was playing King Herod in 'Jesus Christ, Superstar' at the Yucca," said the 27-year-old Rathbone, who is a proud new father (of a baby born July 5 and named Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.) "That's one of my favorite roles and one of the last roles before I left Midland to study acting in Michigan (at Interlochen Arts Academy).

When asked what he preferred -- film or stage, he said, "Between a stage production and a film, I miss the stage. I do miss the stage. It's been about 10 years since I've been in a theater production. With film you lose a certain sense of immediacy. With the stage, you get to see the audience. You get to know if a joke works.

"Being in a film is a lot more of a story in acceptance. We shot 'Cowgirls N Angels' about a year and a half ago, and it's just now getting into theaters. It's definitely a study in patience. You do a project you believe so fervently in, and then you have to wait a year and a half for anyone to see it.'

"Cowgirls N Angels" is "a beautiful moving story," said Rathbone. "It's a family film about a young girl who lives with her single mother. She has always been drawn to the rodeo. She doesn't know who her father is. The only thing she knows is he works in the rodeo.

"And she gets drawn up into the Sweethearts of the rodeo. That's a group of young teenager girls from varied backgrounds who are trick riders. And these girls do amazing tricks. It was a pleasure to watch the real trick riders work because what they can do on a horse is gravity defying."

Rathbone credits the Pickwick Players, MCT's youth performance troupe, and Midland with providing a good foundation for him.

"The Pickwicks -- that was a huge basis," Rathbone said. "I've got to give a lot of thanks to Midland and Midlanders' sense of community and their sense of the arts. There are a lot of towns that don't have this sensibility of the arts being an important part of life. And I really believe in it. I believe in entertainment.

"I'm very thankful that I grew up in a town like Midland and was able to learn and grow as an actor. I was nurtured as a young artist as opposed to stifled.

"There's a lot of young actors who are doing Pickwicks right now who have big dreams. Follow your dreams. You've got to do whatever makes you happy in life. I was blessed with an amazing community in Midland. I always think about MCT and how much I learned there and how much I grew as a person and as an artist."

'Breaking Dawn: Part 2' Stills (UHQ/Untagged) + Bill Condon Mentions Kristen

MTV: How about the running time? Is that official yet?

Condon: Yeah. The running time is one hour and 56 minutes, one minute shorter than the first one and as such, I think the shortest of all of them.

MTV: We talked about the biggest and busiest day, what about the most quiet, emotional moment?

Condon: There are a lot of those, I would say. ... I don't want to talk about one scene because that's a surprise but you know what, the scene when Charlie meets vampire Bella for the first time and then meets Renesmee. This is a movie that really only has one fully human person, if you treat Taylor [Lautner] as a magical creature, so Charlie is our way into this whole thing. If Charlie can believe it and understand, I think the rest of the audience can too. Of course, Billy Burke is such an incredible actor who can really humanize any moment, so watching him and Kristen together in that scene, I remember everything was a total pleasure in that.

Judi Shekoni Mentions Kristen and Rob in her Interview with Fanhattan

Fanhattan: As a fan, what scenes were you excited to get to act out as Zafrina?

Judi Shekoni: I really enjoyed doing scenes with Robert and Kristen, with Bella and Edward because one of the things with Bella’s character is when you read the books, the books are in Bella’s perspective. So as you read all of the Twilight books, you’re almost living Bella’s life and you see yourself as being Bella. So I don’t know. I have a special affinity towards the Bella character because I feel like her experiences in particular, I’ve lived through.

Fanhattan: Were you on stage at Comic-Con with the entire cast?

Judi Shekoni: Mm-hmm. We were brought out and we were behind the scenes waiting while Kristen and Nikki, etc. were talking. Then they brought us all out to introduce us all. It was kind of exciting, all waiting behind the scenes to come out. To be fair, Comic-Con has been a little bit of a turning point, where after Comic-Con people who aren’t avid fans of the film now appreciate that we are an official valid part of this upcoming film. It’s kind of what brought our characters more to the stage, to the arena.

New Shorter Cut Of 'On The Road' Will Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival

From The Playlist:
Decades in the making, the Francis Ford Coppola produced, Walter Salles directed "On The Road" finally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May to a mixed response. The adaptation of Jack Kerouac's seminal novel of a generation was never the easiest thing to bring to the screen, and our review by James Rocchi from the Croisette called it "lustrous but long winded." And indeed, running nearly 2 hours and 20 minutes, this writer was definitely checking his watch during the film. Now as it heads to TIFF, it looks like Salles has hit the editing bay one more time for a new, slimmer cut.

IndieWire recently chatted with IFC Films honcho Jonathan Sehring, and he elaborated on what audiences in Toronto will see. "The response at Cannes was that some people loved it and some people were respectful of it, like some people loved the book. And Walter took a lot of that to heart. He’s gone back, and we’re unveiling a new cut in Toronto, which is about 15 minutes shorter. It’s a little over two hours now. He’s added certain things that weren’t in the cut that was in Cannes," he explained. "He has been in New York and Rio and L.A. working on it the past couple of months, and it’s going to be very wet when it gets to Toronto. We’re locked, but they’re finishing the mix up right now. We’re very, very excited about it."
It will be interesting to see what elements and moments get axed, shuffled and added to the movie, and certainly with an extensive cast featuring a number of actors in brief appearances, we wonder who might ultimately end up on the cutting room floor. If we were to take a wild stab in the dark, we'd wager that Alice Braga might be one who could get sliced out. She plays Terry (aka Bea Franco), a young Mexican woman Kerouac meets on his journey and exchanges letters with that he fictionalized in the novel, and her role is already quite small and a bit inconsequential in the film.

Whether this makes for a smoother, sharper "On The Road" remains to be seen. If anything, Salles has kept the ambling nature of the source material intact, though the cut we saw certainly could've used a bit of a pacing punch up, and this may do the trick. And as Sehring notes, it's the kind of movie that will split audiences. "That novel and that whole Beat thing, people take it so personally. Either they passionately love it or they passionately hate it, and that’s one of the things that really attracted us [to the film] across the board, everyone in the company," he said.
